Meet The Speaker

Rebecca began her entrepreneurship in 2005 with a cleaning company that consisted of her, her husband (Justin), and their desire to be home more. That cleaning company went from 2 "employees" to over 50 employees very quickly. Rebecca does have a business degree, but her real business "education" took place during this time of extreme and rapid growth.

Rebecca considered this company to be her unofficial 5th child (and, technically speaking, it was born 3rd), so the idea of selling the company was not even considered. But, as with all things, once the difficulty and challenges weren't there anymore, she began looking for a new challenge and decided that it was time to move on and she reluctantly sold the company.

With her next challenge in sight, she chose something quite the opposite of a cleaning company. She opened a treat shop with the idea of having a lot more fun with her whole family. She used the skills and knowledge learned over the years, and this business proved to be very successful in a much shorter period of time. With 2 of her children graduating and moving off to college, she decided it was time to again sell the business. With the newly acquired skill and experience in a new field, Rebecca decided to take it on the road for a year with a new mobile treat business. She traveled to festivals, fairs, craft shows, and more to serve up yummy treats, and the whole family pitched in.

Rebecca began business coaching back in 2011 and was very passionate about helping new entrepreneurs grow and become successful. She continues to coach clients that she had back then to this day. In 2019, Rebecca added keynote speaking, workshops, group coaching, and more to her list of services. 

In 2020, she decided to completely reinvent the business as a 360-degree approach to assisting entrepreneurs, small to medium-sized businesses, groups, organizations, and more. That approach is what eventually led to the transformation of the company in 2022 from "Rebecca Dahlberg Speaks" to what it is now, "The Business Growing Place."

With The Business Growing Place, she brought her husband in to provide basic marketing services and marketing consulting. Rebecca focuses on coaching, consulting, and speaking. The result of these services has been just short of a miracle. Their combined efforts most recent success is taking a company from $500k in annual sales to over $10m, in just 2 years!

Simply put, Rebecca wants your business to reach its potential, and she would love to help you get there.
